Baien Kinpu (Baien’s Fungus Album)

Baien Kinpu mushroom posters are based on the Japanese work Baien Kinpu (梅園菌譜), also known as "Baien's Fungus Album", created around 1836 by the Japanese samurai and naturalist Mōri Baien. The work consists of hand-painted illustrations of mushrooms and fungi from Edo-period Japan and is known today for its unique combination of botanical precision and poetic, artistic aesthetics.
