Arne Jacobsen – The Swan

The Swan was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the lobby and lounge areas of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The project allowed Jacobsen to realize his vision of a complete unity between architecture and interior design. A technological innovation at the time, the Swan's organic form broke sharply with contemporary furniture design.
