Mark Rothko (Dark, beige, orange)

Mark Rothko was an American abstract artist from the mid-20th century. Although Rothko was a highly educated and academic man, his painterly abilities were largely innate and he never received any formal training in painting or drawing. Mark Rothko nonetheless became one of the greatest American painters and was recognised worldwide for his simple and colourful compositions.
